The Agamon Hula-JNF
The Agamon Hula-JNF Nature and ornithology Park is located at the heart of the Hula Valley, which constitutes one of the most important bird migration routes in the world. Every migration season (autumn and fall), over half a billion migratory birds fly over this area. Thousands of them stay at the Agamon during winter time while others opt to nest here during the spring and summer seasons.
Over the years, a unique ecological system of regional and international importance has evolved in the Agamon area. The park is a leading ecological tourism site in Israel and abroad, and forms a role model of cooperation between nature, tourism and agriculture.
The site can be toured by means of various types of bicycles, electric vehicles, guided tours in a Safari wagon and special tours in line with the season.
A new visitor center is currently opened at the Agamon Hula, where visitors can enjoy a variety of innovative attractions: the great Bird Wall - an interactive bird quiz, an elaborate audio-visual spectacle (Mini-Hula), Flying with the Cranes (virtual reality), nature films and more…

Bicycle Rentals
Come and experience the Agamon Hula on a bicycle, and tour the magical paths among the orchards and the around the body of water.
In Agamon Hula there is a flat and easy to ride route that is approximately 9 km long, along which there are lovely corners that entice you to take your time and enjoy the abundance of landscapes, vegetation, animals and birds. Along the route you will find lookouts, and it is always worth stopping at the nature and bird guide who is waiting just for you, with great knowledge to share and a telescope.

Guided tours in the Safari Wagon
The guided birding tours in the Safari wagon enable the visitors a relative proximity that does not disturb the various birds and animals. Every hour in nature has its unique behavioral features and charm. Some animals and birds are active during the day time while others may be observed solely at the seam between day and night. Available tours include sunrise tours, day tours, sunset tours, and twilight tours.

Eco-friendly electric car rental (Golf Cart)
A pleasant family ride experience in a noiseless, eco-friendly electric car along the magical Agamon paths among the orchards and the body of water. The route is approximately 9 km long with lookouts and a Botanical Garden for Marsh and Water Plants. It is highly recommended to stop at the lookouts and receive guidance, to tour the botanical garden and enjoy the splendor of nature all year round. Staff recommendation – rental of binoculars. The binoculars enable observation of the different birds, to follow their behavior and enjoy the glory of nature.
Available vehicles for a couple, four and six persons.
Driving is permitted with the presentation of a valid driver's license, from the age of 21.
The vehicles are time limited for a minimum of 1 1/2 hr.

The Botanical Garden for Marsh and Water Plants at the Agamon Hula-JNF
The garden's paths and water pools invite you to experience the world of moist habitats which restore the natural ecosystem of the Hula Valley. Among the water bodies and the banks, nearly 100 different species of marsh and water plants are revealed in their unique form of growth, affording us a glimpse into the marvelous relations between plants and water, researchers and birds.
The garden, which covers nearly 30 dunam (1 Dunam = 1000 sq mt, or 1/4 acres) was established by the JNF (Jewish National Fund) in 2009 as part of a project for the rehabilitation of peat lands in the Hula Valley. Its purpose is to preserve the endemic vegetation of the historic Hula Lake and swamps and serve as a shelter garden for rare plants, some of which are defined as endangered species.
The botanical garden further serves as an educational and research tool and hosts tours and workshops, research and observations.

Waking Up with Birds (Sunrise Tour)
Picture this… First light, white morning mists envelop the dark earth, winter puddles fill up slowly with colorful ducks, bare trees following effoliation serve as lookout posts for birds of prey, snow capped mountains, a swamp cat retires to his lair in the thicket of the reeds after another successful hunting night, and the calls of tens of thousands of cranes heralding a new day. Morning rises in Agamon Hula.
Early in the morning with the first light, we will set out in the Safari wagon on a unique tour that enables a close look at thousands of birds. At times, the valley is covered by a veil of mist that slowly dissipates as the tour progresses, adding a mysterious, magical atmosphere to the tour. At the end of the tour, you are invited to indulge yourself with steaming herbal tea and cookies.
Tour duration is approximately an hour and a half. Preregistration is required.
Flying with Birds (Sunset Tour)
As the last rays of the sun light up the Naftali mountains nature celebrates the end of the day… The skies are painted with sunset colors, the birds prepare themselves for the night, and the nocturnal creatures await the coming nightfall.
In the winter months – a special and exciting experience! At sunset, the cranes congregate to spend the night in the Agamon Hula waters. It is a celebration of sound and sight of tens of thousands of cranes in flight.
Tour duration is approximately one hour. Preregistration is required.
Twilight Tour
When day and night meet, silence falls on the Hula Valley, the light softens and the magic begins… With a flutter of wings and last chitter-chatter, the day birds congregate for the night while the nocturnal animals wake and prepare for hunting: swamp cats, barn owls, bats, howling jackals and many more surprises…
A spectacular guided tour in the Safari wagon that is finalized with indulging herbal tea and light refreshments.
Tour duration is approximately an hour and a half. Preregistration is required.
